,000. this is -- we check credit. we need a business plan. then we look at the three-year tax return and that statement. we do a lot of home care and mom-and-pop shops. we also do start ups. we asked for approval through documents. we work a lot with people who do not know how to file taxes properly. we are mainly focused in san francisco. we are small. we focus mainly on the tenderloin, chinatown, bayview, visitation. we do a lot of expansion. people start small through the credit union and then want to go to the bank. we know we are limited. we cannot afford to give out a big loan. starting from the credit union, we educate them about filing taxes properly and then moving on to the bank, a small one, expansion, and we work with the bank. the bank and credit union are similar. we do allow tax returns, projections. credit unions do not charge an additional loan or processing fee. processing time, on a small loan, -- consumer loans probably a few days. because we require a business plan, sometimes it takes longer. business plans take a while. especially bank statements. we need to see

in the last congress when later closing was speaker of the house. she had had 16 tax cuts signed into law to help small businesses grow and thrive. as we know, during the last 15 years, small businesses account for about 2/3 of the job growth in our country, but when the bush recession hits in 2009, 2010, small businesses were hit particularly hard. small businesses are the center of her agenda. congress under her leadership gave 27 million small businesses tax cuts. two main pieces of legislation -- the small businesses jobs act in the information you have, will create a total of 500,000 jobs and create eight tax cuts. they are all described in the packet you have. also, unleashing up to $300 billion in credit for small businesses to access. there are another eight tax cuts that were passed through a number of different laws. some of our panelists will address those. even though now we are in an environment where there is a republican majority in the house and a slimmer majority in the senate, please note that the leader and democrats are going fight hard to keep their agenda and restart

involving an internet sales tax. amazon an overstock.com were appealing the online levy imposed in new york state. but it's a battle imposed with results. what does this mean for online shoppers? >> all i can think about with this story is taxes. this is what it tells us we know now that the price that online retailers get is probably going to go away because that differential is really about tax. they will now be on par with the brick and mortar retailers and they won't have that edge they've had. we'll probably see less showrooming where people go to a store, they look around and pull out their mobile phone and buy the item online. we're going to see a lot more bureaucracy, states find municipalities making it so hard, so complicated, they're going to be dealing with a very tangled tax web. >> the potential tax revenue, though, for manile of these states that they would lose is huge. >> that's why these states are saying i want amazon to collect taxes coming into products coming into our state. we need the revenue. >> especially after the financial crisis. >>

lead to major changes in online shopping. it's all about how much tax you pay when you shop online. christine romans explains how this will affect your money. >> wolf, on the biggest online shopping day of the year, no less, the supreme court punting on the most important issue in retail right now. and that means millions of people may now have to pay state tax on their online purchases. now, states have been putting pressure on internet retailers to collect sales tax and amazon.com and overstock.com fought this effort with different results in different courts. it's a patchwork now of rulings and laws. now that the supreme court has decided not to the weigh in, states are likely to pursue the estimated $23 billion in uncollected sales taxes from web retailers. an increasing number of tats like new york have passed laws forcing internet-based retailers to collect taxes. amazon and overstock complained saying they don't have physical presence in that state. most retail analysts say the court is essentially ending a 20-year tradition of no sales tax on internet purchases. >> christin

item, the state denied a request for property tax. we're using the replacement housing obligation, we are one funder and the unit that would be produced approximately 60 family units that would be produced along sixth street, we are using 2113 funds for that purpose and the state, its basis for denial says you don't have a contract in place, but state disillusion law recognizes other obligations of state law so you know. that's an obligation that preexisted 2011 and we are entitled, just like in hunters point, transbay, mission bay to enter into contracts to implement those obligations so we'll explain to that second set of auditors that process. the final determination from the state, we will get in mid december. it's about two weeks before the actual property tax distribution in january, but we will work vigorously and report back to you and everything at our disposal, including working with our state legislators to make sure they understand the importance of the expenditure of these housing funds. >> thank you. please call next item. >> next item is item nine, commissioners questio
